HAA Certification means that these processors are equipped with the HAA Link©, a capability that connects a products calibration controls directly to the new HAA CinemaTools© iPad app providing our top calibrators with an extensive set of tools.
HAA CinemaTools© combines in-depth calibration controls with precision measurement tools for direct calibration of a processor via the HAA Link©. For the first time AVRs can be fully calibratable!.
Just as Master Calibrators can painstakingly tune the sound of an immersive system by precision equalization and other precise adjustments, the HAA Link allows all to be accomplished in Real-Time. No more time-consuming navigation of AVR menus which were designed for consumers. HAA Link allows the calibrator get into the gears of the processor adjusting delicate controls while simultaneously monitoring the system response via a high-resolution FFT and other professional measurement tools.
The calibrated settings are stored in the processor an can be recalled by selecting HAA Mode. This allows the end-user to adjust the usual controls at will but, then quickly return to the HAA Mode for the professionally calibrated settings. Controls such as bass and treble can still be adjusted but, using the HAA calibrated settings as the starting point.
Automated calibration tools such as Dirac can still be used, but the calibrator has the ability to fine tune the sound manually afterward. Like Dirac, the HAA Link must be unlocked for a fee, but the unit remains unlocked for future recalibration via the HAA Link.
This technology opens the way for any HAA Link equipped AVR to be fully professionally calibrated!
