Availability

AudioControl’s Hyperion Series AV processor—available now—is the first component to be certified by the Home Acoustics Alliance through the integration of HAA Link software. With Hyperion, Integrators can now evaluate and adjust system performance simultaneously using the companion HAA CinemaTools with HAA Link app, available on the Apple App Store.

“HAA Link Technology” (or “HAA Link”) means the proprietary process, methodology, and system developed by the Home Acoustics Alliance (HAA) that enables professional-grade audio calibration functions to be performed through software integration with compatible audio/video equipment.

HAA works with the manufacturer as their calibration process consultant to equip a high performance product with state-of-the-art capabilities. We work through the product development cycle directly with manufacturer engineers specifying the key DSP functions and provide algorithm design testing, hardware-software integration testing, and rigorous quality validation.

HAA Link feature is not intended to eliminate standard end-user access to typical calibration functions. These remain available for the DIY customer experience if desired. The true value is to consumers who desire a professional implementation for their high performance investment. HAA Link calibration is a high-value service using precision analysis tools and expert tuning of a rich set of pro calibration settings only available to the integrator. This approach conceals complex controls from the end-user, and empowers the pro calibrator resulting in the best possible sonic performance in line with any class of product. A client may explore the typical sound adjustments yet they can quickly return to one of the calibrated HAA Modes to restore the correct system settings.
