I recently completed the HAA HT1 (Home Acoustics Alliance Level One) training, and it was an incredibly insightful and professionally structured experience. The course provided a solid foundation in small-room acoustics, covering essential topics like speaker placement, subwoofer positioning, modal behavior, and the importance of the Acoustical Framework. What stood out was the practical approach to understanding how real-world environments impact sound, and how thoughtful design and calibration can dramatically improve performance. It has definitely enhanced my ability to evaluate and design home cinema spaces with much more precision and purpose. I now feel more confident in applying professional standards to every project I handle.

It was a wonderful experience with the audio workshops done at Letchworth Garden City by Gerry Lemay. Folks, i strongly recomment this for all who want to have a good understanding of sound, its interaction and perception.

多年之前，有幸参加了HAA的一阶课程和THX的一阶和二阶课程并顺利通过测试拿到了相关认证证书。这次在上海参加了2024年HAA和THX联合举办的二阶和三阶课程，加深了影院的理论基础，了解了更多的调试方法。相信这样的课程会帮助到更多从事影音行业的从业者。感谢HAA，感谢THX。

It was truly amazing to be trained by Gerry for the HAA 2 and 3 courses in Las Vegas. The course was incredibly instructive and most importantly the insight and knowledge gained both formally through the class and informally outside the class was invaluable. Kudos to Gerry.

It was an Eye Opener Training and attending all levels subsequently gives an edge to manifest all the mystery's of Audio & Acoustics. Also in understanding importance of acquiring the right information, knowledge in designing the Best & Professional Home Cinema Experiences & developing Professional Listening Skills. Training Materials both Online & Offline contents are very strategically curated and strong links are established between each levels for easy understanding when we are hands on / Practicals HAA2 & 3 training. Would recommend this to all the AV integrators as the root course it provides all essential skills one must have in immersive sound calibration. Gerry Lemay is the perfect coach for this. He is the 'Magician' of this field. Love to re attend this as a refresher. Highly recommended.

I participated in the training session held in Las Vegas Nevada in May of 2023. The training was fantastic! If you are installing audio and especially Immersive audio this training is a must have. The training also dovetails beautifully with CEDIA/CTA RP22 Immersive Audio Design Recommended Practice that will be releasing in September. Take this training, it's fun and super informative. I can't recommended it enough.

Full stop the most comprehensive foundational and advanced cinema design and audio calibration course. There is something here for the seasoned pro and new players. The material is presented in a comprehensive yet simple to understand manner. The instructors are top notch. Highly recommended for anyone involved in the sales, design and commissioning of home cinema systems. At minimum, HT1 course should be required for any integrator that works with home cinema be it in sales, design, or calibration.

Just completed the training in Vegas and it was fantastic, Gerry and Adam did a great job in not only explaining the theories but also giving real-world demonstrations so you can actually hear the differences. I highly recommend this class! Great job guys.

This training should be taken by anyone doing any type of theater installation, small or large, experienced installer or a novice. Gerry is a fantastic instructor and he manages to go through the material and relate to "real world" experiences to make it even more interesting. The HT3 was especially interesting as it is rare to get the chance to do so many practical exercises and actually "learn" what to listen for - this is not something you can study in a text book. It is my first time to take part in the workshop. It covers a lot of professional knowledge points, software and hardware and it let us enter a fantastic Audio world. It let us see a clear and objective data instead of an indistinct feeling. It enlarged our marketing service area and connected us more closely with our customers.

Attended HT1 Adviser Certification at CEDIA 2019, and it was hands down the best class I have ever attended while at a CEDIA expo. Gerry structured the class so that you could either easily learn the fundamentals of good theater design, or re-enforce those fundamentals you may already be aware of. I would highly recommend the class for anyone seriously interested in Home Theater and Room Acoustics.

I attended HAA-THX HT1 and HT2 training at Mumbai. The training was really good and provided great insights into acoustics framework and the importance of speaker positioning, level calibrations, subwoofer positioning, equalisation, acoustic treatments etc. The turbocal calibration lab also really helped to understand step by step way of making a great sounding speaker/room setup.
I attended HAA-THX HT1 and HT2 training at Mumbai. Gerry is a great presenter and practitioner, who not only teach theory but also share a lot of tips and tricks during final 3rd level theater design and calibration workshop. I recommend it to anyone involved in home theater business. I also want to thank to Ascendo for hospitality and fantastic home theatre experience at the evenings.

Gerry is a master trainer and despite having my Level II Cert from way back, I learned so much more by taking the refresher... The AVPro Software combined with AudioTools was just another level from the older gear I began with! Looking forward to now updating my Certs with the addition of HT1,2 & 3 If I was to say anything as far as a wish list goes...I'd say another day for the HT3. Thanks again Gerry!

Even after 2 decades in the industry I found the class to be insightful, fun, and worthwhile. The problem with a lot of professionals is that we know it all, and often times its important we take a step back and look at things from a different angle. While I already knew a lot of material in the class, I found it useful to really understand the why's and how's, especially useful when explaining to my clients the reasoning and science behind the material rather than just "trust me i know what i'm talking about." Highly recommended for the curious, the passionate, and the professional.

I was able to attend the HAA-THX level 1 training at CEDIA 2017 and I'm glad I did. It was an informative and reinforcing training. Many "standard" home theater concepts are expanded upon and myths are debunked. Factual, repeatable techniques are discussed and real world applications are kept in mind. I look forward to taking the level II and III classes when I can, Gerry is a great instructor.

I had high expectations heading into the HAA Level II course and these expectations were exceeded. The course showed me that so many long held beliefs that I'd picked up as a keen audio enthusiast were simply misguided. Our team proved that great sound is achievable in a less than ideal room and with what was relatively modest equipment, simply by implementing what was taught to us by Gerry. At the end of the THX Home Theatre Level II course I attended in 2010, renowned THX instructor John Dahl said to the class (and I'm paraphrasing slightly) "if you'd like to explore the topics we've covered in greater detail with more comprehensive practical exercises, I'd strongly suggest Gerry Lemay's HAA Level II course". I took his advice - doing so was made much easier by Gerry kindly taking the time to head Down Under in 2011 - and I'd strongly suggest that anyone who's serious about home theatre, either as a profession or DIY, should do the same. Once building permits went almost away, we needed leads & ones that could keep us alive. Having been in business for the past 16+ years, we knew a lot of possibilities, but focused on two of them. The 1st was our existing clients. We started a monthly newsletter & send it via 'Mail Chimp'. This really works! We now have a little over 1000 clients who receive it & after each mailing, we see a decent return. Another area we went into was social media. We hired a company to build/ start a 'FaceBook' Fan club/ page. This also is doing fairly well. Not great, but worth the time & effort for sure. I feel the little things add up & after a few months, you will see a return. Next area we went into was gaming. We now sell games like, Billiards tables, ping pong, air hockey, shuffleboard, skeeball, poker tables, etc... We have these on display in our store, but you don't need to to sell them. Most (over 80%) hired us via our website pictures. They see we sell them & hire us. By being a complete - Home Entertainment company is a great way to increase your traffic/ incoming business. One last thing... Packages, Packages, Packages!!! Since we started selling Packages, our closing rate has gone up by over 15%. (My color calibration class was not so with the stories!) Also, I was able to retain the info you presented. You didn't get too "over our heads" with your education. HAA Level II was needed! Thanks Gerry! I have been through 2 HAA Level 1 classes & until level II, I didn't know how dumb I was. Level I is great. Your eyes will be opened to the science of Home Theater. When you leave, you'll be an artist. When you finish Level II, you'll be an expert. This is extremely valuable info delivered in a straightforward manner. I was compelled to follow-up and access the web site straightaway. Very informative. I think that the HAA Training Seminar was awesome. Before the training, I thought that I knew quite a bit about audio and acoustics. Boy, how wrong I was! Even though the the training was for two days, I had received lots of information that I could had never imagined that would help me to better understand the acoustical world. Now as a Independent Calibrator, I need to apply this new knowledge and to continually learn more about acoustics. This way I can continually satisfy the customers who are, and are beginning to enter into the Home Theater World. I am definitively looking forward in taking the Level 2 Seminar Training in the near future. I just can't get enough! Stephen Ellis

HAA is a great idea. As an audiophile and quality audio dealer I have been dealing with these concepts for a long time. After performing our first Acoustic Calibration, I was shown that the theories put forth during the seminar actually work! You can't argue with the laws of physics. Simple calculated changes, once implemented, showed dramatic, measurable, hearable results. A real-time spectrum analyzer is the minimum piece of test equipment needed. However, the money we spent on the Sencore was proven to be necessary to complete and document the entire process. The client was impressed by the full report that was generated by Sencore's software. I realize this sounds like a 'testimonial', and it is, kinda. I wasn't expecting to be able to do everything this easily, straight out of the box. Now I'm able to justify the expense of the Sencore products, and the costs of the seminar.
