- Click the arrow icon on the checklist item to enter the test
- Source a sine wave signal at the lowest frequency the subwoofer can handle.
- Leave "Wobble" off and select "Mono". There's no need for the digital output.
- You can make incremental changes to the frequency using the +/- controls to fine tune a particular resonance.
- Slowly increase the sound level to a very loud level but be careful of overdriving the system. Listen for speaker doubling and distortion, if so turn down.
- Begin slowly increasing the frequency noting any vibrations or audible resonances and their sources.
- Dampen the vibrations if possible. In some cases this might require more involved work like caulking, adding screws, or even rebuilding a wall or furnishing.
- The Info control on the top right gives more information on operating the test.
- Click the "Done" control to return to the checklist, mark the item complete and add any comments on your results.
