  • The effect of acoustical treatment in any room can dramatically change the system. Important Point: Don't over absorb the room!
  • The front wall should have any absorptive material limited to ~40% of the total surface area.
  • The best place to put any absorption is centered height wise with the LCRs.
  • It is very beneficial to at least absorb behind or around the center channel. This may require placing treatment behind the screen.
  • Thicker absorbers or pressure (diaphragmatic) absorbers are very useful behind speakers if they are not built into the wall.
  • If a room lacks treatment, recommending even a couple of absorptive panels on the front wall can be very beneficial.
