HAA Portal frequently asked questions.
How do I update my Profile?
Once you are registered as a member, you should see the “Edit Profile” link within the Login/Logout icon’s drop down list. From there you can make any desired change. Keep in mind only HAA Pro certified members will be shown on the “Dealer Locator:.
How do I add my Avatar?
You can access the Change Profile Image feature by editing your Profile as discussed above. Now you can also add a Cover Image, but this is only useful if you are in the Dealer Locator,
I am an Enthusiast member but I want to switch to be a Pro Member.
Contact us at admin@homeacoustics.net and we can make the switch for you. You’ll need to explain your new employment or that you are starting an AV Business.
I am an Enthusiast member but I don’t want my location shown on the Dealer Locator or in my Profile
Only Certified Pro members are shown in the Dealer Locator; Enthusiasts are not included. If you want to hide your address in your Profile, simply remove the address completely and there will be no public reference to your location. You must add your location to your Profile in the first place for it to be seen. It is blank by default. The address and any information shown in the My Account page is not public and is there to maintain your HAA account and is only populated when you make a purchase.
I am an AV Pro but I work with a manufacturer (or design firm, Rep firm, etc.) can I join as a Pro member?
Yes, you can join. The best way to become a Pro member is to get certified by the HAA. There are class sessions held around the year in various locations. Request access by first, joining as an HAA Pro Candidate (click or use the “Join” link on the top menu).
I used to have an HAA Membership on the old website, can I rejoin the HAA?
If you already have HAA Certifications or a previous associate membership, you probably already have a log in. Try using your email address as the username (keep in mind that it is the email address you used when you originally took the HAA training or joined the HAA). The password will be the same password you used in the old HAA website. If all that fails contact us and we’ll get you a login.
